'Footprints of Soldiers' – A tribute from the Vietnamese community in Czech

WVR - The art program "Footprints of Soldiers" held in Prague is a profound tribute from the Vietnamese community in Czech to the generations of Vietnamese soldiers.

On the evening of December 22, the Vietnamese community in Czech solemnly organized a special art program titled "Footprints of Soldiers", commemorating the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).

The program was organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Veterans Association in Czech in collaboration with the Vietnamese Cultural and Art Association in Czech, under the patronage of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Czech.

Attending the event were Mr. Ta Quang Thanh, Defense Attaché, Vietnamese Embassy in Czech; Mr. Tran Van Dang, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Czech, along with his wife; Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of the Vietnamese Veterans Association in Czech; and Mr. Pham Gia Hau, Chairman of the Vietnamese Cultural and Art Association in Czech.

Also present were representatives from various hometown associations such as Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Quang Tri, and leaders, executive committee members, and members of the Vietnamese Cultural and Art Association and the Vietnamese Veterans Association in Czech.

"Footprints of Soldiers" brought together artists from the Vietnamese community in Czech, veterans from various regions, and special participation from artists from Vietnam such as People's Artist Ngoc Thu, Meritorious Artist Minh Tuan, Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Chinh, Cheo actor Ngoc Tam, singer Hoang Lam, and MC, singer Hoang Thanh.

Through timeless songs, skits, and dramatic excerpts, the program vividly portrayed the image of Uncle Ho's Soldiers – a noble symbol of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism.

This is a solemn tribute to the generations of soldiers who sacrificed and contributed to the independence and freedom of the nation. It also serves as a cultural bridge, helping preserve and spread historical values and national spirit within the Vietnamese community in Czech.

With the honor and pride of being soldiers, Chairman of the Vietnamese Veterans Association in Czech, Nguyen Van Son, emphasized that the program is an opportunity for veterans to relive the years of war and resistance that the homeland endured to achieve independence and freedom today.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Son, despite living far from their homeland, the spirit of Vietnamese veterans in Czech always remains connected to their motherland, carrying the bloodline of Lac and Hong descendants and the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

He believes that the gathering of veterans here is not only to reminisce about the hardships and fierce times but also to appreciate the values of independence and freedom the country enjoys today.

The Chairman of the Vietnamese Veterans Association in Czech also expressed his hope that future generations, the descendants of the Vietnamese community, will always look towards their homeland, undeterred by difficulties and hardships.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese Veterans Association in Czech always looks towards the homeland and continues to be one of the forces contributing to building a stronger Vietnamese community here.
