“Bac Ninh province reading culture Ambassador Contest 2025”: Fostering reading habits and skills for the young generation
WVR - On the morning of May 27, the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee held the closing and award ceremony for the “Bac Ninh Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025.” The Organizing Committee awarded 1 Reading Culture Ambassador title, along with 4 First Prizes, 13 Second Prizes, 30 Third Prizes, and 96 Consolation Prizes.

After more than two months since its launch (from March to May 2025), the contest attracted a large number of students from all three levels (primary, secondary, and high school) across 8 districts, towns, and cities in the province.
According to the Organizing Committee, the contest received a total of 81,229 submissions—including 80,674 written entries and 555 video clips—from students of 241 schools across the province. Notably, video submissions increased by 91% compared to 2024.
Several schools produced high-quality entries and earned top prizes, including: Tuong Giang Primary School, Dinh Bang 2 Primary School, Tu Son Secondary School (Tu Son City), Nguyen Dang Dao Secondary School, Hoang Hoa Tham Primary and Secondary School (Bac Ninh City).

Ms. Nguyen Thi Luyen, Director of the Bac Ninh Provincial Library, said that in 2025, both thecontent and presentation of contest entries were more well-developed. The number of entries that passed the preliminary round and were considered for awards increased by 25% compared to 2024.
According to the Organizing Committee’s assessment, many entries in 2025 were of high quality, showing careful investment in both form and substance. They demonstrated outstanding ideas, creativity, and imagination through touching stories, inspiring characters, and compelling “continued stories” carrying profound humanistic messages.

Many video submissions showcased exceptional creativity, with richly developed scripts, strong presentation, diverse outdoor settings, costumes, IT applications, and scenes portraying the appearance and personality of characters, all vividly brought to life by the students themselves.
Notably, many students developed practical plans, measures, and initiatives to promote reading, with strong feasibility and potential for real-world impact, aiming to spread and foster a reading culture within the community.

In addition, students creatively incorporated vivid, unique, and engaging presentation models in their submissions, such as illustrative drawings, decorative motifs, carefully crafted handwriting, and even the integration of Braille writing, adding deep educational meaning and leaving a strong, positive impression on the competition.

The “Bac Ninh Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025” aims to cultivate reading habits and skills among the younger generation, encourage sharing and spreading the love of reading, ignite passion and enthusiasm for books, promote a reading movement, and advance the culture of reading in the community. It also seeks to enhance the capacity to access information and knowledge, foster creativity, and contribute to building Vietnamese cultural values and human standards.

The Organizing Committee has selected six outstanding entries from the Bac Ninh Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025 to represent the province at the national-level competition.
