Ceremony celebrates 96th Anniversary of Party founding and success of 14th Congress in Cuba
WVR - On February 2, in Havana, the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba organized a flower offering ceremony at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the park named after him, commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026) and celebrating the resounding success of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Attendees included Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long, Secretary of the Vietnamese Party Committee in Cuba; Deputy Minister of Justice of Vietnam Nguyen Thanh Tinh and the delegation from the Ministry of Justice of Vietnam visiting Cuba; Deputy Minister of Justice of Cuba Pilar Alicia Varona, representatives of the leadership and staff of the Cuban Ministry of Justice; along with numerous officials and party members from the Embassy and Vietnamese representative agencies in Cuba.
In the solemn atmosphere at the park named after President Ho Chi Minh, delegates respectfully offered flowers, remembering his immense contributions as the founder, leader, and trainer of our Party.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Le Quang Long recounted the glorious 96-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He emphasized that under the wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese revolution has achieved successive victories, from the August Revolution to the Renovation process, elevating the nation's position and stature.

The anniversary of the Party's founding is an occasion for each party member to take pride in the glorious tradition, enhancing their pioneering spirit and exemplary role in building and defending the socialist homeland.
Notably, Ambassador Le Quang Long informed the delegates of the resounding success of the 14th National Congress of the Party recently held in Hanoi. He affirmed that the 14th Congress marks a significant milestone, officially ushering in a "New Era - An Era of National Ascendancy for Vietnam".
Accordingly, the Congress outlined a strategic vision with the highest political determination: to streamline the apparatus, accelerate digital transformation, and develop new productive forces, striving to make Vietnam a developed, high-income country by 2045.

The impressive socio-economic development achievements recently, with the economy surpassing the $510 billion mark, provide a solid foundation for the entire Party, army, and people to realize the goals set by the 14th Congress.
The Ambassador praised the efforts of the party cells and officials, party members in Cuba for their tremendous efforts to overcome difficulties in the current context, striving to excellently fulfill political tasks, contributing to strengthening the exemplary special solidarity between the two Parties, States, and peoples of Vietnam and Cuba.
The Party Committee Secretary urged each party member to continue training, maintaining political courage, serving as a bridge of friendship, and actively contributing to national development in the new era.

The 96th Anniversary of the Party Founding in Cuba took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere, filled with international solidarity, reflecting the steadfast belief of officials, party members, and the Vietnamese community in Cuba in the Party's leadership. It also reaffirmed the enduring vitality of the special Vietnam-Cuba friendship, nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and Leader Fidel Castro, for the benefit of the peoples of both nations.
