Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen welcomes Miss World Tanzania 2026 ahead of Miss World Finals in Vietnam

The event took place in a warm and professional atmosphere, marking the beginning of the Tanzanian delegation's journey to Vietnam to participate in the 75th Miss World finals (from August 9 to September 5).
During the reception, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen congratulated Mr. Mustafa Hassanali and the Miss World Tanzania Organizing Committee for successfully organizing the national contest and selecting the outstanding representative, Miss Latricia Ian Sawe.
The Ambassador affirmed that with Mr. Hassanali's extensive experience in the fashion industry and the thorough preparation of the team, the Tanzanian representative is sure to leave a strong impression in Vietnam.
At the reception, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen extended warm congratulations to Miss Latricia Ian Sawe, who recently won the highest title at the Miss World Tanzania contest. The Ambassador highly appreciated the new Miss's intellectual beauty, compassion, and her project supporting education for Tanzanian youth.
Representing the delegation, Mr. Mustafa Hassanali expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by the Embassy. He emphasized that bringing the Tanzanian representative to Vietnam this time is not just about participating in a beauty contest but also an opportunity to learn from the experience of organizing international cultural events, especially as Tanzania will host Miss World next year, as well as to promote economic cooperation connections.

For her part, Miss Latricia Ian expressed her emotions and anticipation about visiting Vietnam. She shared: “I have heard much about the beauty and hospitality of the Vietnamese people. Representing Tanzania in an international competition in a country rich in cultural traditions like Vietnam is a great honor for me.”
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Vu Thanh Huyen presented souvenirs to the delegation and gifted Miss Latricia Ian Sawe a traditional Vietnamese silk scarf, a symbolic gift, wishing her luck and hoping she will become a "Cultural Ambassador" connecting the two nations.
The Ambassador wished the delegation a successful mission in Vietnam, contributing to the promotion of the over 60-year traditional friendship between the two peoples.
The event concluded with a commitment to promote cooperation in people-to-people diplomacy and tourism promotion between Vietnam and Tanzania in the near future.
