The event was attended by over 200 delegates, representing the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in Chongqing, Sichuan (China), along with all staff of the Consulate General, the Vietnam Trade Promotion Office in Chongqing, and Viettin Bank in China.

During the gathering, Consul General Bui Nguyen Long shared information about the country's socio-economic and foreign relations achievements, new developments in Vietnam-China relations, especially the substantial and fruitful outcomes following mutual visits by high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and countries in 2025.

Consul General Bui Nguyen Long emphasized that in line with the Party and State's policies on overseas Vietnamese affairs, including the 2004 Politburo Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW, the Consulate General consistently monitors the lives of overseas Vietnamese, students, and Vietnamese businesses in Chongqing, Sichuan. He also praised the solidarity, mutual support, and practical actions of the Vietnamese community in China towards their homeland over the past year.

Looking ahead, the Consul General hopes that the Vietnamese community in Chongqing, Sichuan will continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity and mutual assistance, helping each other to develop and integrate firmly into the local society, preserve national identity, always look towards the homeland, and actively contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. They are also encouraged to act as a bridge to promote stable, substantive, and effective comprehensive cooperation and friendly relations between Vietnam and China.

In the warm and cozy atmosphere of the first Homeland Spring organized by the Vietnamese State's representative agency in Chongqing, Sichuan, delegates enjoyed traditional Vietnamese dishes such as banh chung and gio xao, along with performances featuring ao dai and rich Vietnamese cultural arts.

Earlier, under the Consulate General's leadership, a delegation representing 5,000 overseas Vietnamese living and working in Chongqing, Sichuan visited the room where President Ho Chi Minh once lived and engaged in revolutionary activities in China. They also explored the special exhibition "Revolutionary Path - Comrade Ho Chi Minh in China" at the Hongyan Revolutionary History Museum, gaining deeper insights into the traditional friendship of "Comrades and Brothers" between Vietnam and China.
