Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung sends Congratulatory letter on 80th anniversary of Lao diplomacy

Dear Comrade Thongsavanh Phomvihane,
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Diplomacy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (12/10/1945-12/10/2025), on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry and all officials and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, with deep fraternal affection, I extend to you and the leadership, along with all officials and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos, our warmest congratulations.
We are extremely pleased and excited to see that over the past 80 years, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the State, the Lao diplomatic sector, with its innovative foreign policy of “peace, independence, friendship, and cooperation” under the motto “more friends, fewer enemies”, has contributed to elevating the position of the Lao PDR, building international trust, thereby playing an important role in the robust socio-economic development of Laos in each period, in line with global development trends.

We always support and firmly believe that, by building on the tradition of past achievements and a glorious history, under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Lao diplomacy will continue to achieve significant and greater accomplishments, contributing to the successful construction of a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified, and prosperous Laos.
We are extremely pleased and proud of the excellent cooperation results between our two Ministries of Foreign Affairs in recent times, both bilaterally and at regional and international forums; contributing to nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, Laos and Vietnam, as well as the close, trustworthy cooperation between our two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
On this occasion, I wish you, the Minister, the leadership, and all officials and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Laos good health, happiness, and success in fulfilling all assigned tasks.
