Speaking at the event, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki expressed his delight at meeting numerous educators and students in a space of exchange and connection before they embark on their study journey. The Ambassador extended his gratitude to organizations and individuals who have tirelessly promoted educational cooperation and enhanced understanding between the young generations of the two countries.

Congratulating the students who have passed the rigorous selection process, Ambassador Ito Naoki emphasized that this is a well-deserved achievement for their persistent efforts. He noted that they will study important fields such as economics, biotechnology, and language education. He hopes that the knowledge and experience gained in Japan will be effectively applied upon their return, contributing to bilateral cooperation.

According to Ambassador Ito Naoki, Vietnam is currently vigorously pushing for reforms towards a new development phase, with pillars like science and technology, innovation, and international integration. Japan highly values and supports this direction and wishes to continue strengthening cooperation for mutual development, as affirmed in recent high-level exchanges.

The Ambassador also acknowledged the role of the alumni community, who have become vital bridges in the relationship between the two countries. He expressed his hope that previous generations will share their experiences and inspire the students preparing to depart.

On this occasion, the Ambassador mentioned a notable example, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh, who was recently awarded the Order of the Rising Sun for his contributions to academic exchange and Vietnam-Japan friendship. He hopes the students will follow in the footsteps of previous generations, becoming active bridges between the two nations.

Representing the Vietnamese students preparing to head to Japan, Le Ha shared her pride in being one of the young representatives of Vietnam chosen to participate in this prestigious program.

Le Ha also expressed deep gratitude to the Vietnamese and Japanese agencies and organizations that have facilitated and supported students in accessing Japan's advanced education system.

"Studying in Japan is a dream I have long cherished. I feel the responsibility of carrying the expectations of my family, teachers, and the entire country," Ha shared.

Beyond acquiring specialized knowledge, Ha is particularly eager to learn about the discipline, perseverance, and serious work ethic that have contributed to Japan's societal development. She believes these experiences will help her grow and lay the foundation for meaningful contributions to Vietnam's future development.

Additionally, Hà is well aware of her role as a "cultural bridge" while studying abroad. She hopes to introduce international friends to a friendly and culturally rich Vietnam, thereby enhancing understanding and connection between the two nations.

Attending the farewell ceremony for MEXT scholarship recipients, Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy, President of the Vietnam Alumni Association in Japan (VAJA), emphasized that this is an annual meaningful activity, reflecting the deep interest of the Japanese Government and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam's young generation.

On behalf of the alumni community, she expressed gratitude to the Japanese Embassy, especially Ambassador Ito Naoki, and the agencies of both countries for continuously promoting educational cooperation, enabling Vietnamese students to access advanced learning environments.

Congratulating the outstanding students who have secured this prestigious scholarship, she affirmed that this is not only an opportunity to study in a leading educational environment but also a journey of experience and self-development in a modern setting. According to Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Minh Thuy, the Vietnamese community in Japan is currently very large, with many individuals studying and working effectively, contributing positively to the host society.

However, there are still cases of rule violations that affect the overall image. Therefore, she advised students to be aware of their responsibilities, maintain the country's image, and promote the role of "cultural ambassadors", spreading Vietnam's positive values to international friends.

She also encouraged students to actively study, hone their skills, especially Japanese language proficiency, and learn from the discipline, determination, and work ethic of the Japanese people. This will be crucial in helping them develop personally and contribute to the country in the future.

Recalling the tradition of previous generations, she noted that many alumni in Japan have become leaders, experts, entrepreneurs, and scientists who have made significant contributions to Vietnam and bilateral relations. She expressed confidence that today's young generation will continue and enhance that tradition.

She hopes that after completing their studies, students will continue to engage with VAJA, contributing to nurturing the friendship between the two nations.
