Vietnam Education Publishing House promotes Vietnamese knowledge at the 6th International Book and Culture Festival in Laos
WVR - From March 9-13, a delegation from the Vietnam Education Publishing House, led by Deputy General Director Dang Thanh Hai, conducted a working visit to Laos. The delegation engaged in various diplomatic and professional cooperation activities and participated in the 6th International Book and Culture Festival as a Diamond Sponsor.

Affirming position, leaving a mark
On the morning of March 10, the Publishing House delegation attended the opening ceremony of the 6th International Book and Culture Festival at the National University of Laos. Under the theme “Books Connect Cultures”, this year's event featured 75 booths from countries such as Vietnam, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, France, and more, along with participation from international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

At the festival, Vietnam Education Publishing House made a significant impact through various prominent activities.
First, they showcased knowledge with 52 selected book titles introduced to readers. The publications included books about President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnamese language teaching books, Vietnamese-Lao and Lao-Vietnamese dictionaries, along with award-winning works on the history, culture, and people of Vietnam.
Additionally, as a Diamond Sponsor, Vietnam Education Publishing House contributed funding and resources, collaborating with the organizers to help the event reach over 20,000 visitors.
Promoting strategic cooperation
During the visit, the Vietnam Education Publishing House delegation held several meetings to strengthen and expand cooperation in education and publishing between the two countries.
At the ministerial level, the delegation visited and discussed educational cooperation directions with Mr. Kingmano Phommahaxay, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Laos.

The delegation also worked with professional partners, including the Lao Education Sports Publishing House, Lao State Printing Education Company, Lao Education Equipment Company, and Souphanouvong University.
During these meetings, the parties openly exchanged experiences in printing technology, modern publishing processes, and educational equipment supply. The Lao side highly appreciated NXBGDVN's expertise and expressed a desire for continued support to enhance local education quality.
Spreading knowledge, strengthening friendship
The Publishing House delegation's visit was not only a cultural exchange but also a strategic step to bring Vietnamese books closer to Lao readers and international friends, while also strengthening the special cooperative relationship between the education sectors of Vietnam and Laos.

This activity also continues to affirm Vietnam Education Publishing House's role in accompanying the regional education sector, promoting educational development and cultural exchange.
