Vietnamese-Korean multicultural families are bridges of friendship between two nations: Vietnamese Embassy
WVR - On July 22, in Seoul, Nguyen Thi Thai Binh, Minister Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea, attended the 18th Global Family Awards Ceremony organized by the Hana Namun Foundation.

The event was attended by Jung Goo Chang, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family of the Republic of Korea; Seunglyul Lee, Vice Chairman of Hana Financial Group; representatives from Korean agencies and organizations, along with hundreds of multicultural families from various countries.
Held annually for nearly two decades, the program not only honors exemplary families who overcome language and cultural differences to build happy homes, but also spreads a message of sharing, integration, and respect for diversity in Korean society.

In his opening remarks, Jung Goo Chang, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family of the Republic of Korea, and Seunglyul Lee, Vice Chairman of Hana Financial Group, affirmed that multicultural families have become an integral part of Korean society, enriching cultural life, enhancing social cohesion, contributing to the sustainable development of the Republic of Korea, and promoting exchanges between Korea and countries worldwide.
This year, families with Vietnamese brides continued to make a remarkable impression by winning 1 Special Prize, 1 Happy Family Prize, and 3 Promising Family Prizes – the most outstanding achievements among families honored from countries such as Thailand, China, Uzbekistan, and Madagascar.
These awards recognize the resilience, love, and enduring dedication of Vietnamese bride families on their journey to build a new life in the Republic of Korea.

Minister Counselor Nguyen Thi Thai Binh personally congratulated the honored families and expressed her emotions upon hearing stories of companionship, sacrifice, and connection among multicultural couples.
Minister Counselor Nguyen Thi Thai Binh affirmed that each multicultural family is not only a happy home but also a bridge connecting the two nations, where the beautiful values of Vietnamese and Korean cultures are preserved, shared, and continued through generations.

Vietnamese mothers, with their love, perseverance, and sacrifice, have contributed to raising generations of citizens who embody two cultures, appreciate their roots, and serve as ambassadors of friendship between the two countries.
From these humble homes, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea is nurtured by strong bonds between the peoples of the two nations.
