Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that the Culture Day is an opportunity for Vietnam to showcase the beauty of its culture, with core values of patriotism, compassion, solidarity, integrity, unity, diligence, and creativity, while also demonstrating the interaction and connection between the two long-standing cultures of Vietnam and China. This event also marks the conclusion of a series of meaningful and successful exchange activities held in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam–China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam–China Year of Humanistic Exchanges 2025.

On this occasion, the Ambassador reviewed a number of notable milestones in bilateral relations in 2025. The two sides conducted five high-level visits, notably the State visit to Vietnam in April this year by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, which carried historic significance and achieved many important outcomes, opening a new phase of deeper and more comprehensive development in bilateral relations. Implementing the common understandings reached by the senior leaders of the two Parties, economic cooperation—including trade and tourism—between Vietnam and China has been actively promoted in recent times and has continued to deliver impressive results.

Along this shared development journey, cultural exchanges have always served as a sustainable bridge and an invisible bond connecting the souls of the two peoples, transcending all distances. Cultural exchanges not only help foster mutual understanding and bring the two sides closer together, but also serve as an important driving force to consolidate a “stronger public support foundation,” deepen and elevate the Vietnam–China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, and build a Vietnam–China Community with a Shared Future of strategic significance, the Ambassador underscored.
