The meeting was attended by Deputy Director General of the Northeast Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tran Huy Hung, along with personnel from both media organizations.
Director of the International Department at Guangdong Radio and Television (GRT) Lin Qingjian expressed delight at visiting Vietnam for the first time. He affirmed that the meeting with The World and Vietnam Report is the delegation's initial step in fostering cooperation with the media agencies of t, highlighting the importance and desire to collaborate with the Report across various fields.

Mr. Lin Qingjian also introduced Guangdong Radio and Television. GRT is a provincial-level mainstream media agency, integrating radio, television, internet media, mobile applications, and broadcasting services. The station operates 8 radio frequencies, 11 terrestrial television channels, and 3 digital channels widely broadcasting across the Greater Bay Area (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Guangdong), along with 5 new media platforms and social networks like Douyin (China's version of TikTok), X, etc. These new media platforms and social media accounts have over 600 million followers, and GRT's satellite television signal reaches more than 2 billion global viewers.
The Director of the International Department hoped that in the future, The World and Vietnam Report and GRT will enhance cooperation in content production and participate in the "China-Vietnam friendship media tour" project.
On the part of The World and Vietnam Report, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son emphasized that the meeting between the two sides is taking place at a significant time, as both countries have recently engaged in consecutive high-level delegation exchanges. Therefore, the meeting between the two media agencies aimed to strengthen understanding, promote people-to-people exchanges, and concretize the shared common understanding of the two countries' leaders, practically commemorating the Year of Vietnam-China Humanistic Exchanges.
Expressing admiration for the scale, influence, and activities of GRT, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son pointed out that Vietnam and Guangdong have a close, long-standing relationship, with ample room for cooperation and exploration.
Both sides highly appreciated the role of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Guangzhou and Consul General Nguyen Viet Dung in fostering cooperation.
Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son emphasized that the Report has been continuously promoting information dissemination and actively leveraging existing information channels to maintain its position as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' press agency and a leading external affairs newspaper. Furthermore, the Editor-in-Chief hoped that the two media agencies can engage in extensive cooperation, bringing the flow of information closer to the people of both countries.

Both sides agreed to promote cooperation in the future, such as planning and implementing thematic programs and reports; exchanging and sharing news on each other's platforms; and expanding and enhancing both traditional and new media platforms. This will increase the reach of news and articles to the people of both countries.
The two media organizations affirmed their readiness to accompany each other in the journey of connecting cooperation and disseminating information, contributing to enhancing understanding and further strengthening the enduring friendship of "both comrades and brothers" between Vietnam and China.
