Strengthening cooperation between the World and Vietnam Report and Guangxi media

WVR - On the morning of March 19, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Editor-in-Chief of The World and Vietnam Report, Nguyen Truong Son, welcomed and held discussions with a delegation from the Guangxi International Communication Center, under the Guangxi Daily Media Group (China), led by the Center’s Permanent Deputy Director, Luo Rui.

During the meeting, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Guangxi Daily Media Group and the Guangxi International Communication Center for their warm reception and effective collaboration during the visit of The World and Vietnam Report delegation to Nanning in September 2024.

The Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son also highly valued Guangxi's efforts in enhancing media cooperation between the two countries, especially in the context of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and the “Vietnam-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges.”

In response, Permanent Deputy Director Luo Rui expressed his delight at the recent connections established with The World and Vietnam Report. He also invited The World and Vietnam Report to participate in events commemorating the “Vietnam-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges” as well as other bilateral exchange programs organized by the Center in Vietnam.

Mr. Luo Rui suggested advancing discussions on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further deepen cooperation and information exchange between the two media outlets. He stated that in the near term, both sides could focus on exchanging and sharing information, articles, and images on each other's media platforms. He also hoped that the leadership of The World and Vietnam Report will visit Guangxi or other provinces in China to gain insights into the development of China's media industry.

Additionally, the representative from the Guangxi International Communication Center shared his desire to establish a permanent office in Vietnam and strengthen media exchanges with Vietnamese press agencies. This initiative would tighten the relationship between Guangxi's media and Vietnamese journalism, further promoting bilateral relations, he noted.

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son expressed his interest and appreciation for the cooperation proposals from Guangxi International Communication Center, affirming that both sides would continue discussions based on mutual consensus and feasibility to ensure strong and effective collaboration.

On this occasion, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son presented the Permanent Deputy Director of Guangxi International Communication Center Luo Rui with several prominent publications by The World and Vietnam Report related to Vietnam-China relations. These included a special edition marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, themed “Developing Friendly Relations for Peace and Cooperation.”
