Secretary of the Savannakhet Provincial Party Committee welcomes Vietnamese Consul General Nguyen Van Dung
WVR - On July 13, at the headquarters of the Savannakhet Provincial Party Committee, Mr Bounchom Ubonpaseuth, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Savannakhet Provincial People's Council, warmly welcomed Mr Nguyen Van Dung, the Vietnamese Consul General in Savannakhet, on the occasion of the commencement of his term.

The Consul General expressed his gratitude to the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for taking the time to meet the delegation. He expressed his honor and pride in being entrusted by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam with the responsibility of being the Vietnamese Consul General in Savannakhet, an important socio-economic center of the Lao PDR.
The Consul General congratulated the achievements in various fields that Savannakhet province has accomplished in recent times. He is confident that Savannakhet will continue to achieve even greater successes in implementing the resolutions of the 12th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the 10th Provincial Party Congress.
The Consul General expressed his pleasure and highly appreciated the cooperation results between Savannakhet province and Vietnamese localities, thereby contributing to the deepening, practical, and effective development of the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos across various fields.
The Consul General thanked and requested the leadership of Savannakhet province to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in the area. He proposed that the province continue to address difficulties and obstacles, support Vietnamese enterprises investing in the province, and facilitate mechanisms, policies, and administrative procedures to attract Vietnamese enterprises to implement large-scale, effective projects in fields where the province has potential and strengths, such as high-tech agriculture, energy, agro-forestry processing, logistics, infrastructure, and tourism, thereby contributing to the local socio-economic development.

Comrade Bounchom Ubonpaseuth warmly welcomed Consul General Nguyen Van Dung to his new position in Savannakhet, wishing him a successful tenure with many positive results, contributing actively to the development of the "great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, strategic connection" between Laos and Vietnam in general, and between Savannakhet province and Vietnamese localities in particular.
Comrade Bounchom Ubonpaseuth agreed with the points raised by the Consul General, affirming that Savannakhet province always values and wishes to continue strengthening cooperation with Vietnamese localities in various fields, especially in economy, trade, investment, education, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

He highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Vietnamese community to the socio-economic development of the province and affirmed that he would continue to accompany and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises investing in the province, as well as those seeking opportunities to expand investment and implement projects in Savannakhet.
Mr Bounchom Ubonpaseuth also expressed his desire for the Vietnamese Consulate General in Savannakhet to continue to be a bridge to promote and enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between Savannakhet province and Vietnamese localities such as Quang Tri, the cities of Hue, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City in implementing cooperation agreements. He hopes the Vietnamese community and enterprises living in the province will continue to contribute to the local development.
