In recent years, the interest of Vietnamese tourists in Moscow has been steadily increasing. In 2025, Moscow welcomed approximately 42,000 Vietnamese visitors, up from 36,100 in 2024.

Travel has become more convenient as Vietnamese citizens can apply for Russian e-visas, and about 25 direct flights per week connect Moscow with cities in Vietnam.

Today, Moscow offers tourists a blend of history, culture, green spaces, and modern urban life. Famous landmarks like Red Square and Saint Basil's Cathedral remain popular stops, but the city now also boasts many contemporary cultural spaces and new creative zones.

Visitors can explore Zaryadye Park with its futuristic landscape design and views of the Kremlin, or visit Red October, the legendary chocolate factory transformed into a riverside complex with restaurants, bars, and creative studios.

Another new destination is Moskino Cinema Park, a large-scale cinematic experience complex with simulated film sets and interactive spaces inspired by cinema and television.

The spirit of blending tradition and modernity is also reflected in large-scale cultural exchange events held right in the city center.

One of the standout examples is the Vietnam Cultural Festival with the theme "Vietnam – Tropical Colours", taking place in the summer of 2025 as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project.

The festival featured the presence of the spouse of General Secretary To Lam – Madame. Ngo Phuong Ly at the opening ceremony, attracting nearly one million visitors with over 100 cultural activities, including art performances, traditional theater, and Vietnamese martial arts demonstrations. Notably, the water puppet art became one of the highlights loved by many visitors.

"Summer in Moscow" is also lively with a series of outdoor music and art festivals. The 5th Moscow International Jazz Festival brought together over 1,000 international artists at venues like Zaryadye Park and Tchaikovsky Theater.

Meanwhile, the 4th Zaryadye Summer Music Festival offered opera programs, symphony concerts, and performances by many leading artists and orchestras. Besides artistic activities, summer in Moscow is also associated with a festive atmosphere spread throughout the city.

On May 30, Moscow officially launched the third season of the "Summer in Moscow" project, with over 500 venues participating citywide. This year's theme is "It's Time to Be Together", focusing on cultural, educational, sports, and lifestyle activities.

The program includes outdoor concerts, stage performances, film screenings, workshops, tours, and major festivals like "Theatre Boulevard", "Times and Epochs", or "Moscow Estates".

Last summer alone, the project organized over 122,000 cultural-entertainment activities with a total of 64 million attendees.

One of the special aspects of "Summer in Moscow" is that visitors do not need to actively search for events. Just strolling through parks, squares, boulevards, or riverside areas, they can encounter outdoor stages, art exhibitions, workshops, and activities happening all over the city.

Alongside tourism development, cultural exchange activities and professional cooperation between Moscow and Vietnam are also becoming more vibrant.

In recent years, Moscow has organized many promotional programs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, gathering representatives from the tourism sectors of both countries.

In May 2025, many Vietnamese travel businesses also participated in a famtrip to Moscow to explore new destinations and meet with over 40 representatives of the city's tourism industry.

With a combination of festivals, art, culture, and modern living, Moscow is increasingly becoming an attractive destination for Vietnamese tourists this summer.

The city is also developing many platforms to support international tourists with multilingual services, convenient transportation systems, and pre-designed tour itineraries through the Discover Moscow platform.
