Tuc Dup hill in April: Awakening the great forest with a symphony of peace

The "two-million-dollar hill" sheds its war-torn cloak, becoming a peaceful ecological destination, embracing the pure sounds of nature.

With the collaborative organisation of Tuc Dup Hill Tourist Area, the Provincial Ornamental Plants Association, and the An Giang Artistic Bird Association, this year's event is not only a professional playground but also a "love song" from nature on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam. On the morning of April 30th, the usually tranquil atmosphere of Tuc Dup Hill will be awakened by the most melodious sounds.

The festival promises to bring excitement and joy, symbolising a wish for a prosperous and happy future.

It is expected that the event will gather approximately 120 bird cages from artisans and clubs throughout the Western region. These will feature the majestic, resonant songs of the Black-throated Magpie, intertwined with the lively and vibrant beauty of the Five-Colored Sunbird. Hundreds of visitors and artisans will gather under the shade of ancient trees, sipping tea and immersing themselves in this pristine "symphony." This is a highly artistic performance, honouring an elegant hobby and strictly prohibiting any form of gambling.

It is no coincidence that Tuc Dup Hill was chosen as the gathering place for the "voices of the green forest." The natural granite cave system, nestled amidst the forest, creates a space with an exceptionally unique resonance and acoustic effect. The birdsong here doesn't fade but blends with the rock walls, echoing through the air, a delightful, inviting chirping.

Visiting Tuc Dup during this time, tourists will not only be visually and aurally delighted by the bird competition, but also have the opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of the historical caves. The sounds of freedom and the blossoming of life completely overshadow the ancient ruins, creating a smooth connection between the past and the present.
