"Spring Homeland - Vietnamese Tet in Fukuoka is not just an annual cultural activity, but a vivid symbol of the solidarity and cohesion of the Vietnamese community in Japan. She expressed confidence that the 7th Spring Homeland 2026 - Vietnamese Tet in Fukuoka will continue to be a cultural highlight with widespread influence, not only for overseas Vietnamese but also for local authorities, Japanese citizens, and international friends, thereby contributing positively to the Vietnam-Japan friendship.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Honorary President of the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, and Principal of GAG Japanese Language Academy, emphasized: Spring Homeland in Fukuoka is not just a Tet event, but a journey of connecting the overseas Vietnamese community, persistently built and nurtured over many years.

From the first Spring seasons, when the Vietnamese community in Fukuoka and Kyushu was still small, with many challenges in living conditions and integration, Spring Homeland was organized with a simple desire: To allow expatriates to celebrate a true Vietnamese Tet, with traditional flavors, human warmth, and sharing.

Over six editions, Spring Homeland in Fukuoka has gradually expanded in scale, become more professional in organization, richer in content, and most importantly, become an annual cultural rendezvous eagerly anticipated by the Vietnamese community, while also attracting increasing interest from Japanese citizens and international friends.

Spring Homeland 2026 - 7th Edition: Connecting the community in a new era

According to the Organizing Committee, each Spring Homeland season carries a unique mark, reflecting the maturity of the Vietnamese community in Kyushu.

The 7th Spring Homeland 2026 is organized in a special context, as the entire Vietnamese nation looks towards the National Congress of the Party, a strategically significant moment in shaping the country's development path, ushering in a new era of national growth.

In this shared flow, the overseas Vietnamese community, including those in Fukuoka and the Kyushu region, is not standing aside but always following, accompanying, and placing high hopes on the major decisions of the Party and State.

Thus, Spring Homeland 2026 is not only a cultural festival celebrating the traditional Tet but also carries deep socio-political significance, reflecting the expatriates' attachment to the homeland and the country's development path in the new era.

Notably, the increasingly active participation of the Vietnamese business community in Kyushu contributes to elevating Spring Homeland, transforming the event from merely a New Year gathering into a platform for economic - trade - community connections, promoting Vietnam-Japan exchanges from a people-to-people perspective.

This time, Spring Homeland 2026 - Vietnamese Tet in Fukuoka is expected to continue affirming its role as a representative community cultural event for Vietnamese people in the Kyushu and Southwestern Japan region.

According to Mr. Hoang Xuan Dung, President of the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, as the Vietnamese community in Fukuoka and Kyushu continues to grow in scale and diversity, maintaining in-depth community cultural activities like Spring Homeland is crucial in strengthening cohesion and building the image of a civilized, responsible, and integrated Vietnamese community.

"The Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka identifies that Spring Homeland is not just a festival event, but also an opportunity to strengthen trust and consensus within the community, thereby enhancing the status of Vietnamese people in Japan and contributing positively to the friendship between the two nations," Mr. Hoang Xuan Dung shared.

According to the announcement at the press conference, the program is scheduled to take place over two days, January 31 and February 1, at Kihinkan - Tenjinchuo Park, in the center of Fukuoka City.

Spring Homeland 2026 will authentically recreate the atmosphere of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, with approximately 30 food stalls, product displays, traditional cultural experience activities, folk games, and special art performances.

As part of the event, the "Kyushu Got Talent 2026" competition will also be held, providing a platform for the Vietnamese community to showcase their talents, contributing to spreading the image of confident, creative, and culturally rich Vietnamese people in the host society.

The Vietnamese community in Kyushu - Growing in both quantity and quality

At the press conference, the Organizing Committee revealed that currently, more than 25,000 Vietnamese people live, study, and work in Fukuoka Province; this number in the entire Kyushu and Southwestern Japan region reaches over 100,000.

Not only increasing in number, but the Vietnamese community in Kyushu is also becoming more diverse in composition: students, interns, workers, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, and long-term resident families. In this context, community solidarity is identified as a crucial foundation for sustainable development.

Therefore, Spring Homeland is not just a cultural activity, but also a space for generations of Vietnamese people to meet, connect, share, and build a civilized and responsible community, thereby enhancing the status and image of Vietnamese people in Japan.

Concluding the press conference, the Organizing Committee sincerely thanked Vietnamese and Japanese media agencies for accompanying and spreading information about the program; they also expressed their hope that the 7th Spring Homeland 2026 - Vietnamese Tet in Fukuoka will continue to be a meaningful cultural rendezvous, contributing to deepening the friendship between the Vietnamese and Japanese people.
