Speaking at the event, Ambassador Duong Chinh Chuc emphasized that the 2026 Homeland Spring is organized in a jubilant atmosphere, celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a particularly significant political event that sets the development direction for the next five years and the vision to 2045, directly impacting every citizen and family.

The Ambassador noted that 2025 marks a memorable milestone in Vietnam–Angola relations, with significant events, including the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and a State visit to Angola by President Luong Cuong, his spouse, and a high-level Vietnamese delegation in August 2025. This year also saw the Vietnamese community in Angola demonstrate solidarity, offering heartfelt support to compatriots affected by natural disasters and floods in Vietnam.
The Ambassador expressed confidence that 2026 will be a year of vigorous bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Angola, with enhanced coordination between the Embassy and the Vietnamese Association, the Vietnamese Business Association in Angola, and Vietnamese associations in localities, aiming to support and improve the lives of the Vietnamese community in Angola. He affirmed that the Vietnamese community in Angola is an inseparable part of the homeland, always receiving attention, support, and protection from the Party, the State, and directly from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On behalf of the community, Nguyen Thi Ngan Thanh, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Association in Angola, and Dao Quoc Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese Business Association in Angola, expressed excitement and confidence that the 14th National Pary Congress will be a great success, ushering in a new development phase for the country in the era of national advancement. They also affirmed that the Vietnamese community, entrepreneurs, and businesses in Angola will always accompany and support the Party and the State.
At the gathering, delegates sang songs praising the homeland and the country, such as Tieng vong ngan doi, Mua xuan nho nho, Dang da cho ta mua xuan, Viet Nam oi mua Xuan den roi, and enjoyed traditional Vietnamese dishes like banh chung, nem, xoi, prepared by the Embassy with contributions from the community.
