During the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu expressed his delight at the robust, comprehensive, and substantive development of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and globally between Vietnam and Japan. The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that the relationship between the two countries has been continuously strengthened and expanded across all fields, from politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, and investment to cultural exchange, education, and local cooperation, becoming one of Vietnam's exemplary bilateral relationships with important global partners.
The Deputy Minister expressed his thanks and high appreciation for the dedicated contributions of Mr. Takebe Tsutomu in promoting the Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation over the years; particularly acknowledging his active role in fostering cultural and educational exchanges, local cooperation, and successfully organizing Vietnam-Japan Festivals in both countries, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and connection between the peoples of the two nations.

Congratulating the success of the 11th Vietnam-Japan Festival in Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Vu valued the significance of the event, considering it a prominent cultural and people-to-people exchange activity, contributing to promoting economic, cultural, tourism, and labor cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Japanese localities, while also making a practical contribution to deepening the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
On this occasion, the Deputy Foreign Minister requested Mr. Takebe to continue to focus on and support the promotion of high-level Japanese leadership visits and engagements to Vietnam in the near future; enhance cooperation in developing high-quality human resources, especially in training human resources in the semiconductor industry, a field both countries are keen to promote; and support connecting Japanese high-tech enterprises with Vietnamese partners to expand cooperation in advanced technology sectors.
Mr. Takebe Tsutomu expressed his pleasure to visit Vietnam again and congratulated the Deputy Minister on being elected as a Central Party Committee member. He sincerely thanked the Deputy Minister and the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their attention and support for cultural and people-to-people exchange activities between the two countries, including the 11th Vietnam-Japan Festival in Ho Chi Minh City, which attracted over 480,000 visitors.

Sharing directions to enhance Vietnam-Japan relations in the future, Mr. Takebe mentioned a number of cooperation initiatives, including continuing to promote the Vietnam-Japan University Project, a notable educational cooperation project between the two countries. He affirmed his continued efforts to contribute to the development of Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation in general, as well as the development of the Vietnam-Japan University in particular. According to Mr. Takebe, the goal is to strive for the Vietnam-Japan University to commence construction in 2026 as per the agreement of the high-level leaders of the two countries, thereby becoming a symbol of cooperation in high-quality human resource training between Vietnam and Japan.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged measures to continue enhancing economic cooperation, promoting cooperative activities between localities, expanding cultural exchanges, and training human resources between Vietnam and Japan.
Both parties agreed to continue promoting cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Hokkaido, Mr. Takebe Tsutomu's hometown, thereby contributing to deepening the foundation of people-to-people exchanges and substantive cooperation between the two countries in the future.
