During the meeting, both sides expressed their delight at the development momentum of Vietnam-China relations. The exchanges and cooperation between Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities with Guangdong Province have yielded positive results, consistently leading in local cooperation between the two countries. Delegation exchanges at all levels occur regularly, and trade cooperation maintains growth, with trade turnover in 2025 reaching 63.1 billion USD, an increase of 12.3%, accounting for about 21.3% of the total Vietnam-China trade turnover. Cooperation in various fields has been deepened, particularly in infrastructure, urban railways, high-tech production, and the operation of industrial zones.
Congratulating Guangdong Province for maintaining its leading position in China's economic development with a GDP of nearly 2100 billion USD in 2025, Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu expressed the hope for both sides to continue promoting cooperation between Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities with Guangdong in particular and the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macau in general.
The Deputy Minister suggested that both sides enhance delegation exchanges at all levels, organize the 10th Coordination Conference on Cooperation between Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities with Guangdong Province in Guangdong in 2027, and develop a list of prioritized cooperation contents for joint implementation. He emphasized promoting substantive cooperation between localities that have established friendly relations, sharing experiences in developing special economic zones, building financial centers combined with high technology and advanced manufacturing, and developing multimodal logistics chains, especially port systems. He welcomed reputable large enterprises from Guangdong to expand their investment in Vietnam.

Expressing gratitude to the leadership and people of Guangdong for their continuous care and preservation of historical sites associated with President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese revolution, Peramanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu proposed that both sides enhance cultural exchanges, coordinate well-organized "Red Journey" activities, strengthen cooperation in human resource training, increase scholarships for Vietnamese students to study at high-quality universities in Guangdong and the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macau, and facilitate the work of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Guangzhou.
Agreeing with the cooperation proposals of Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, Director General Ma Wenfeng affirmed that Guangdong places great importance on exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities. He expressed the hope for both sides to enhance friendly exchanges and substantive cooperation in various fields.
Director General Ma Wenfeng cordially invited Vietnamese leaders to frequently visit Guangdong, including on the occasion of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting 2026 to be held in Shenzhen, Guangdong this year. This would provide a strong impetus to promote cooperation between the two sides, especially in trade, investment, industrial infrastructure construction, urban transportation, green production, new energy, tourism, and cultural exchanges. He welcomed Vietnamese youth representatives to participate in the Red Journey study tour in Guangdong.
