During the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong congratulated Ambassador Rajpal Singh on his new assignment in Vietnam, affirming that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will facilitate the Ambassador in successfully completing his term.

Discussing bilateral cooperation, both sides agreed to closely coordinate in effectively implementing the 5-year Action Program from 2025-2030. They also committed to promoting high-level and various-level exchanges to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Singapore.

They acknowledged and highly appreciated Singapore's positive support and companionship with Vietnam since the beginning of its renewal and international integration, especially through training personnel and developing mechanisms and policies for socio-economic development.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong proposed that both sides continue to enhance political trust by soon implementing the Strategic Dialogue mechanism between political parties. He also suggested building a comprehensive plan for high-quality human resource development to meet new circumstances.

The Deputy Minister also suggested that both sides explore initiatives to create breakthroughs in areas where Singapore excels and Vietnam has demand, such as science and technology, digital transformation, and financial centers, contributing to expanding development space for both countries in the new era.

Sharing the honour of being appointed as Singapore's Ambassador to Vietnam, a key economic partner for Singapore in the region, the Ambassador expressed deep gratitude for the support from the Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other Vietnamese ministries and sectors. He committed to doing his utmost to advance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Singapore in a deeper, more substantive, and effective manner.

Responding to Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong's remarks, Ambassador Rajpal Singh emphasized enhancing cooperation between the two countries, not only in traditional fields but also in new growth areas. This includes developing the second-generation VSIP with high scientific and technological content, connecting clean energy through wind power projects, and fostering knowledge and people connections through cooperation initiatives in digital transformation, science and technology, and human resource training.

The Ambassador also emphasized his commitment to strengthening political trust and relations between the new generation of leaders from both countries, laying a solid foundation for comprehensive bilateral cooperation in the future.
