Mid-Autumn reunion at the Vietnam Pavilion at EXPO 2025

WVR - On October 5, at the Vietnam Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai (Japan), the "Mid-Autumn Reunion" program combined with the exchange event "Learning and Loving Vietnamese Together" took place in a lively and warm atmosphere, aiming to promote Vietnamese culture to international friends.

The event was attended by the Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School, the Vietnam Pavilion, and over 35 students, educators, experts, and international guests.

The program began with a spectacular lion dance, capturing the attention of many visitors. The vibrant drumbeats and graceful lion dance movements created a festive atmosphere rich in cultural essence.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Do Lan Phuong, Director of the Vietnam Pavilion, shared: “We are very proud to collaborate with the Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School to organize today's program.

This is not only an occasion to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival but also an opportunity to connect the community, preserve the Vietnamese language, and introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends, especially within the framework of EXPO 2025.”

Participating in the exchange, Prof. Shimizu Masaaki from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Osaka University, affirmed: “Vietnamese is not just a language, but a cultural bridge between the Vietnamese community and the world. Learning and preserving Vietnamese abroad helps the younger generation take pride in their roots and contributes to building a rich Vietnamese identity.”

Phuong Anh, a student from the Cay Tre Vietnamese Language School, expressed: “I am very happy to participate in today's program. It is an opportunity for me and my friends to learn, experience Vietnamese culture, and feel prouder of the Vietnamese language.”

The program offered unique experiences: guidance on playing the traditional Klong-put instrument by artist Bao Chau; enjoying Vietnamese water puppetry performed by artist Nguyen Ngoc Triu.

The "Mid-Autumn Reunion" and "Learning and Loving Vietnamese Together" exchange left a deep impression, serving as a testament to the spirit of integration and preservation – a meaningful message at EXPO 2025 Osaka.

Director of the Pavilion, Do Lan Phuong, believes that the program not only spreads Vietnamese culture but also fosters community spirit and preserves the Vietnamese language for future generations.
