Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 honors 113 outstanding enterprises and units

WVR - On the morning of September 27, in Hanoi, under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in collaboration with the Culture Newspaper, organized the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 Ceremony.

As the most prestigious and reputable award in the tourism sector, the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 not only honors outstanding businesses, organizations, training institutions and media agencies but also serves as a vivid testament to the robust breakthrough of Vietnam's tourism industry. This sector has emerged as a regional leader in recovery speed post-pandemic and achieved one of the highest growth rates globally.

Attending and delivering a keynote at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that tourism is not merely an economic sector; it is an industry of exploration, experience, and emotion, an art of connection, a pathway to spread attractive destinations, scenic spots, and cultural historical relics.

The Party and the State have identified tourism as a spearhead economic sector, a "smokeless industry" that provides livelihoods for millions, invigorates many regions, promotes cultural exchange, builds friendships, maintains peace, and promotes the image of a friendly, hospitable Vietnam rich in identity to friends worldwide.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, from prestigious awards like "World's Leading Heritage Destination", "Asia's Leading Culinary Destination"… to the "telling numbers", such as tens of millions of international visitors, hundreds of millions of domestic visitors annually... all are not just achievements but international recognition of the potential and allure of Vietnam's tourism - a place that converges many conditions for tourism development, from diverse natural landscapes, a unique system of attractions to a heroic historical tradition combined with unique cultural quintessence.

"The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 Ceremony is a moment to honor Vietnam's brand ambassadors; to affirm the pivotal role of tourism businesses in national economic development, significantly contributing to elevating Vietnam's position and image on the international stage. You are the ones who have turned intelligence and smiles into value, experiences into brands and potential into strength", emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh also highlighted that 2025 is a particularly important year, with the goal of achieving GDP growth of 8.3-8.5% and laying the foundation for growth of 10% or more in 2026.

This requires the tourism industry to develop even more vigorously to contribute more significantly, and to act together to strive for impressive numbers: attracting at least 25 million international visitors, 150 million domestic visitors, and total revenue exceeding one trillion VND. These numbers are not just targets but a call to action for each of us to innovate, be creative, and act more decisively.

To realize these goals, the Deputy Prime Minister urged the tourism industry to continue accelerating, innovating, promoting digital transformation and building a smart tourism ecosystem to provide the best experiences for visitors in Vietnam; to develop green tourism, community tourism, linked with night economy models and circular economy so that each journey is not only an exploration but also a contribution to the country's economic development; to build and elevate a system of tourism products rich in national identity, unique, creative, professional and of outstanding quality to affirm that Vietnam is an attractive, safe, civilized, and friendly destination.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasized that the Vietnam Tourism Awards are organized every five years to promote competition within the tourism sector, ensuring service quality, diversifying products and enhancing the professionalism of tourism businesses, contributing to gradually building the Vietnam tourism brand and promoting tourism development as a spearhead economic sector of the country.

Deputy Minister Ho An Phong stated that Vietnam has many conditions for tourism development, from diverse natural landscapes, a unique system of attractions to a heroic historical tradition combined with unique and diverse cultural quintessence; friendly and hospitable people.

The Party and the State have always focused on directing the tourism sector to best utilize human potential, developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector. Along with political determination, many localities and tourism businesses have strived together to create continuous growth momentum for Vietnam's tourism sector, exceeding expectations in both quantity and quality.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and Deputy Minister of VHTT&DL Trịnh Thị Thủy presented awards to the top 10 international travel companies bringing tourists to Vietnam.

According to Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, to achieve the Government's targets for 2025, striving to welcome 25 million international tourists, serve 150 million domestic tourists and make Vietnam a leading safe, friendly, and attractive destination in the region and globally, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been actively coordinating closely with ministries, sectors, localities, and the business community to soon form a smart tourism ecosystem, associated with comprehensive digital transformation; enhancing connectivity, support, focusing on the tourist experience as the center, launching the "Professional service, thoughtful care, civilized behavior, green-clean-beautiful environment" competition to bring the smile of Vietnam tourism; developing a diverse, unique tourism service product...

In addition, the entire sector strives to complete the infrastructure connecting destinations, focusing on promoting tourism with targeted campaigns; maximizing the power of media; mobilizing cooperation from Vietnam's diplomatic representative agencies abroad; social media communication; promoting bilateral tourism cooperation, cooperation through international tourism organizations.

Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh presented awards for the best community tourism destination, most creative tourism product and best event venue.

Sharing at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Huong, Deputy General Director of Vietravel Corporation, stated: "The Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 is a great honor and a strong motivation for us to continue striving. This is not only a reward for past efforts but also a commitment to the future, to continue providing high-quality tourism products, spreading human values and accompanying the sustainable development of the country".
