Logistics giant DHL invests 63 million Euros to build Southeast Asia's largest logistics hub, reaffirming commitment to Vietnam
WVR - On July 24, DHL Supply Chain officially broke ground on the DHL North Logistics Campus in Hung Yen Province, with a total investment of 1.9 trillion VND (63 million Euros).

Located strategically in Hung Yen Province, the DHL North Logistics Campus is directly connected to the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway, facilitating easy access to Noi Bai International Airport, downtown Hanoi, and Hai Phong Port, the largest deep-water port in Northern Vietnam.
The DHL North Logistics Campus will become a crucial logistics hub, effectively supporting both domestic distribution and international trade, thereby enhancing connectivity and supply chain efficiency in the region.
The project is also situated at the heart of a rapidly growing industrial corridor, which hosts numerous manufacturing activities and continues to attract both domestic and foreign investment in sectors such as electronics, industrial manufacturing, automotive, and consumer goods.
The investment comes as Vietnam increasingly asserts its position as a vital link in global trade, investment, and production flows.
According to the latest Global Connectedness Report by DHL, cross-border trade activities have maintained positive growth momentum despite global economic fluctuations. In this trend, Vietnam has emerged as one of the most dynamic markets in the region, thanks to its diverse trade partnerships, robust export capabilities, and growing appeal to foreign direct investment, particularly in manufacturing and technology sectors.

Speaking at the event, Steve Walker, General Director of DHL Supply Chain Thailand - Vietnam, stated that Vietnam is currently one of the region's growth highlights, and this investment reflects our strong belief in the long-term development prospects of the market.
“As businesses continue to expand production, seek sourcing, and develop distribution networks, the demand for logistics solutions that can grow at the same pace is also increasing. The DHL North Logistics Campus will help us meet the growing needs of our customers while delivering the quality service and sustainable development commitments they expect from DHL,” Steve Walker affirmed.
With a total area of over 82,500 m² comprising four building blocks, the DHL North Logistics Campus is planned to meet the long-term development needs of customers. Phase 1, expected to be completed in the first half of 2027, will provide approximately 41,180 m² of high-quality warehousing space across two buildings. Phase 2 is anticipated to commence in the second half of 2028.
Built to international standards, the complex can serve a variety of industries, from technology, automotive, industrial manufacturing, retail, and consumer goods to healthcare and life sciences.
The project is developed to Grade A logistics standards with a modern storage system and a clear height of up to 11.9 meters, significantly higher than the current market average. This design optimizes storage space, enhances operational efficiency, and provides greater flexibility for businesses expanding their operations or with increasingly complex supply chain needs.
Designed according to DHL's global standards and oriented towards future needs, the facility is equipped with infrastructure ready for automation, allowing the integration of next-generation logistics technologies, smart goods handling systems, and digital supply chain management solutions. These platforms will support customers in enhancing productivity, increasing adaptability to market fluctuations, and strengthening long-term competitiveness.
Aligned with DHL Group's goal to become the "Preferred Green Logistics Partner," the DHL North Logistics Campus will integrate rooftop solar power systems, energy-saving LED lighting, and infrastructure for electric goods handling equipment. These solutions not only help reduce environmental impact but also support customers in achieving sustainable development goals in their business operations.
According to Bertrand Juvigny, General Director of DHL Supply Chain Vietnam, the latest DHL Global Connectedness Report highlights Vietnam's increasingly prominent role in global trade. “Trade is currently Vietnam's strongest international connection, ranking 9th globally. Additionally, Vietnam is projected to record the fourth-largest absolute growth in global goods trade from 2026-2030. These positive signals continue to reinforce our confidence in the long-term development potential of the Vietnamese market.

Hung Yen is gradually establishing itself as a strategic manufacturing and logistics center in the North. This investment brings us closer to our customers and key growth areas in Vietnam. As the largest Grade A logistics complex of DHL Supply Chain in Southeast Asia, the DHL North Logistics Campus is developed to meet the needs of the new generation supply chain with international standard infrastructure, automation readiness, and a sustainable operation orientation,” he said.
It is known that once operational, the DHL North Logistics Campus will continue to enhance DHL Supply Chain's capacity to provide integrated logistics solutions, while contributing to local economic development through job creation, attracting investment, and fostering the formation of a more modern, connected, and flexible supply chain ecosystem.
The project also continues DHL's strategic investment chain in Vietnam in recent years, including the expansion of the Gateway Center in Hanoi and Container Freight Stations (CFS) in Hai Phong, thereby reaffirming DHL's long-term commitment to the Vietnamese market.
