According to Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko, interaction in education, science, and culture holds a special place in the relations between nations, allowing people from different countries to understand each other better and promoting peace, friendship, and solidarity. This aligns perfectly with the multifaceted cooperation between Russia and Vietnam.

Cooperation between Russia and Vietnam in this field is comprehensive and diverse, based on extensive positive experiences accumulated over the years and built on a solid foundation of traditional friendship, mutual support, and mutual benefit established by previous generations. The potential to further deepen bilateral relations in this area is limitless.

The Russian side expressed delight at the interest of the young Vietnamese generation in learning the language. Annually, up to 1,000 Vietnamese students are admitted to Russia's top universities under the cooperation program between the two countries, studying both new, modern disciplines in natural sciences and traditional fields like Russian literature.

"The goals set by the leaders of the two countries to strengthen the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership create an increasing demand for qualified professionals proficient in Russian across various fields, meaning they will be welcomed in the labour market and can fully apply their acquired knowledge and skills in practice," emphasized Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko.

On the Vietnamese side, the Ministry of Education and Training stated that over the decades, the Russian language has played a crucial role in the formation and development of Vietnam's intellectual workforce. Thousands of Vietnamese officials, teachers, engineers, and doctors have studied at renowned universities and research institutes in Russia. Many of them now hold significant positions in Vietnam's Party, State agencies, research institutes, and universities. This is a vivid testament to the effectiveness and depth of Vietnam-Russia educational cooperation.

In the context of increasing global integration, Vietnam's strategy for developing high-quality human resources always emphasizes the role of international educational cooperation. Russian continues to be an important language for accessing knowledge and scientific and technological exchanges. Vietnam particularly focuses on training human resources in fields where Russia excels, such as energy, aerospace, engineering technology, medicine, and basic sciences, with Russian language serving as a tool for Vietnamese officials, lecturers, and students to access this knowledge.

The Ministry of Education and Training appreciates and values Russia's assistance in providing scholarships, enhancing academic exchanges, and sending expert lecturers to support Vietnamese Russian language teachers, as well as promoting cultural exchange activities for Russian language learners in Vietnam. These are crucial factors contributing to fostering interest and love for the Russian language among the younger generation.

The Russian Language International Week not only celebrates the beauty of the language of the great poet Pushkin but also creates an environment for exchange and learning, inspiring students' passion for learning Russian. The competitions, seminars, discussions, and cultural activities within the event will help learners gain deeper insights into Russian history, culture, and people – a nation rich in tradition, humanity, and creativity.

In the future, the Ministry of Education and Training will continue to closely collaborate with Russian partner agencies, and educational institutions in Vietnam and Russia to further expand student and lecturer exchange programs, scientific research, and projects to enhance Russian language teaching and learning capacity in Vietnam. The spread of the Russian language will become a solid bridge for the young Vietnamese generation to integrate deeply, access global knowledge, and contribute to the development of the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the new era.
