The Deputy PM made that statement at the opening ceremony of the ”Expo-Russia Vietnam 2017”, which was organized on December 13 in Ha Noi.

As the Vietnam-Eurasian Union Free Trade Agreement took effect, Vietnam hopes that its garments, footwear, agricultural-aquaculture-forestry products, electronics and other commodities will be sold in the Russian market, he said.

The nation is willing to import products of Russia’s advantages from such sectors as energy, oil exploitation, oil refinery, automobile and accessories production as well as high-tech products and industrial equipment.

He required the two sides’ enterprises to share new initiatives and become leading forces in economic cooperation and connection, contributing to deepening the relationship between the two countries.

The Vietnamese Government will facilitate the two nations’ business communities to launch import-export activities, investment connections and long-term business, he asserted.

The two-way trade turnover over the recent 11 months of 2017 reached US$3.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 26.7%. The two nations are heading to raise the two-way trade value to US$10 billion by 2020.

Vietnam has attracted more than US$300 billion from 119 partners over the world. Meanwhile, the nation has poured around US$21 billion in 72 nations and territories.
