Queen Mother Sirikit is regarded as one of the most significant symbols of the modern Thai Royal Family, closely associated with the long reign of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX). She was born on August 12, 1932, in Bangkok, holding the title Mom Rajawongse Sirikit Kitiyakara, daughter of Prince Nakkhatra Mangala and Mom Luang Bua Kitiyakara.

For over seven decades serving the Royal Family and the nation, Queen Mother Sirikit was revered for her humanitarian activities, community development, and preservation of Thai culture. She was also known as a steadfast companion and symbol of loyalty to the late King Bhumibol, who reigned over Thailand for 70 years – from 1946 to 2016.
