Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Tran Thi Thu Thin and Mozambique's Minister of Interior Paulo Chachine.

During the meeting, Minister Paulo Chachine extended congratulations to the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and their remarkable achievements in economic and social development and international integration.

The Minister briefed the Ambassador on the recent security and order situation in Mozambique, highlighting the efforts of President Daniel Chapo's administration in promoting comprehensive dialogue with various societal groups to foster democracy and national harmony. He also noted the positive results Mozambique has achieved in combating and curbing organised crimes such as kidnapping, human trafficking, and drug trafficking.

Minister Paulo Chachine expressed gratitude to Vietnam for inviting Mozambique to the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime, appreciating Vietnam's commitment and contributions to advancing international efforts in combating cybercrime and other global issues.

On behalf of President Daniel Chapo, Minister Paulo Chachine will lead a high-level Mozambican delegation to attend the Signing Ceremony, representing the Government of Mozambique in signing the Convention in Hanoi and engaging in various bilateral activities during their visit to Vietnam.

The Minister expressed satisfaction with the positive cooperation results between Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security and Mozambique's Ministry of Interior, affirming that Vietnam is one of Mozambique's strategic partners. Mozambique is ready to collaborate with Vietnamese authorities in crime prevention and ensuring social security and order.

The upcoming visit of Minister Paulo Chachine to Vietnam will enhance Vietnam-Mozambique cooperation.

Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin congratulated the Government of Mozambique on its positive achievements in recent times, creating a stable and favourable environment to attract investment and accelerate economic development.

The Ambassador thanked Mozambique for sending a high-level delegation to the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime, noting that this is an opportunity for Mozambique to affirm its international commitment in this field. She also informed the Minister about the content, significance, and Vietnam's readiness for the Signing Ceremony.

Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin is confident that Minister Paulo Chachine's upcoming visit to Vietnam to attend the Signing Ceremony and engage in bilateral activities will further enhance the practical and effective cooperation between Vietnam and Mozambique.

The Ambassador also proposed specific measures to effectively implement the commitments of the two countries' leaders and existing agreements in law enforcement, crime prevention, information exchange, and human resource training.

On this occasion, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin respectfully requested Minister Paulo Chachine and Mozambique's Ministry of Interior to continue to support and facilitate the Embassy's efforts in citizen protection and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese citizens and legal entities in Mozambique.
