The seminar is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' research activities to strengthen Vietnam's relations with other countries.
Over 70 delegates, including leaders and former leaders of relevant ministries and sectors, representatives from agencies, research institutes, as well as numerous experts and researchers, attended the event.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized the role of research and the need to closely evaluate adjustments in the foreign policies of countries, including the U.S., to review the development of Vietnam-U.S. relations in recent times and thereby promote the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the U.S. in the future.
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong stressed that in the context of rapidly changing global and regional situations, enhancing research and forecasting plays a crucial role in implementing Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developmental , which is diversified and multilateralized.

In a candid and open atmosphere, delegates conducted an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of Vietnam-U.S. relations, highly valuing and appreciating the positive developments in the bilateral relationship in recent times.
The delegates also focused on analyzing trends in U.S. foreign policy adjustments, assessing Vietnam's position, role, and contributions, as well as the opportunities and challenges to enhance bilateral relations in the future.
Many opinions emphasized the need to improve the effectiveness of dialogue mechanisms, continue to promote areas of cooperation, and maintain frank and constructive exchanges based on mutual respect to foster stable and sustainable relations, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
The discussions at the seminar also serve as an important reference for agencies and organizations in their research and international cooperation efforts in the coming time.
