70 years of India’s Independence Day marked in Ha Noi
The Embassy of India in Vietnam held a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of India’s Independence Day (August 15, 1947) in Ha Noi on August 15.

Speaking to his guests, who included Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan, Indian Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish affirmed the close relations between the two countries.

The bilateral cooperation is growing in various fields such as defense-security, economics, science-technology, human resources and training, and culture, he noted.
He said 2017 is the year of friendship between Vietnam and India since the two countries are celebrating the 45th anniversary of their diplomatic ties, the 10th anniversary of strategic partnership, and the 25th anniversary of ASEAN-India dialogue partnership.
