Expert Chef Mr. Arun Kumar, from renowned five-star hotel “The Ashok”, New Delhi, along with experienced cook from India have curated and are presenting a selection of mouth-watering authentic Indian dishes during the Indian Food Festival held by the Embassy of India in Hanoi.
Food lovers from Hanoi enjoyed an exquisite menu featuring regional specialties, aromatic flavours, and creative culinary presentations that highlighted the essence of Indian gastronomy like Fish Amritsari, Bengal Fish curry, Murgh (Chicken) Awadhi Korma, Dal Tadka, Paneer (Cotage Cheese), Murg (Chicken) Malai Tikka, Gosht Shami Kebab among other dishes.

On 11 November, the Embassy hosted a special dinner-cum-cultural evening where dignitaries from the government, diplomatic corps and media to relish the selection of Indian dishes. Ambassador Sandeep Arya observed India’s close civilizational and cultural connections with Vietnam and wider Southeast Asia, which is reflected in numerous forms from spirituality, arts, crafts, historical monuments and in subtle ways in customs, values, dress and even food despite their individual uniqueness. He also mentioned that the Food Festival is organized as part of the Mekong - Ganga Cooperation (MGC) framework to celebrate close relations and people-to-people bonds between India and five-member countries viz. Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam
In recent years, province level business, tourism, yoga, cultural and other exchanges have assumed new dynamisms between India and Vietnam. In this backdrop, the Indian Food Festival showcased rich and diverse Indian dining experience for the people in Hanoi.
