Here, many important decisions regarding domestic and foreign policies, the provisional government, and its structure were made. Notably, in a small room on the second floor, President Ho Chi Minh wrote the Declaration of Independence, founding the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

The historical space at 48 Hang Ngang is recreated through an exhibition utilizing modern technology such as mapping, virtual reality (VR), and holograms, combined with a rich collection of documents, providing depth and high educational value in heritage.

Additionally, the exhibition recreates the silk production space of the family of Trinh Van Bo and Hoang Thi Minh Ho, organizing interactive activities like craft workshops, contributing to connecting heritage with the community.

This is the result of a serious process of preservation, research, and creativity, demonstrating Hanoi's commitment to innovating approaches and enhancing the value of cultural heritage in the context of digital transformation.

The exhibition content is elaborately and scientifically designed, focusing on three main themes: the house at 48 Hang Ngang and the patriotic bourgeois family of Trinh Van Bo - Hoang Thi Minh Ho; the historical context and the birth of the Declaration of Independence; and the historical significance of the Declaration and the journey to safeguard national independence.

To honour and pay tribute to the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the exhibition space at the relic also includes a worship room arranged in traditional style, deeply commemorating his great historical role in the struggle for national independence.

The exhibition at the historic site of 48 Hang Ngang has officially opened, ready to welcome delegations, students, Hanoi residents and visitors from home and abroad to visit and learn.

The house at 48 Hang Ngang is where President Ho Chi Minh wrote the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, proclaiming the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In 1979, it was recognised as a national historical and cultural relic, becoming a “red address” in the heart of the capital, a symbol of revolutionary wisdom, patriotism and the nation’s aspiration for peace.
