Themed “Vietnam - Colours from the Tropics”, the festival took place in Red Square, the symbolic heart of Russia, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia.
On 25 July, the opening ceremony was attended by Madame Ngo Phuong Ly, Spouse of General Secretary To Lam, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Mr Andrey Yatskin and Deputy Mayor of Moscow Ms Natalia Sergunina.
Throughout the festival, visitors had the opportunity to experience the richness of Vietnamese culture, ranging from traditional performing arts such as water puppetry, shadow puppetry, and folk music, to displays of Vietnamese silk, traditional ao dai, cuisine and lacquer jewellery.
Each performance, each pavilion and each cultural item was not only an expression of artistic value but also a reflection of the historical depth and the soul of the Vietnamese people who cherish peace, value affection, and uphold compassion.
