The project will expand the 77-kilometre road to 6-8 lanes, allowing a maximum speed of 80 kilometres per hour outside residential areas and 50 kilometres per hour in urban and residential areas.

The road runs through Phu My Town, Vung Tau City, Long Dien, Dat Do and Xuyen Moc Districts.

The total cost for the project is estimated at 6,500 billion VND (276.2 million USD).

Once completed, the road will create a complete transport network within Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province and link the province with the southern key economic region.

Specifically, the road will improve direct connections between the province’s main development areas such as the Cai Mep-Thi Vai Port complex, the Long Son Industrial Park and Go Gang Airport.

It will also link Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s finest beaches of Long Hai, Phuoc Hai and Binh Chau, creating a tourism development axis of the province in the future.
