The event attracted nearly 300 guests, gathering in the vibrant and warm atmosphere of the early new year days, sharing joy and sending heartfelt sentiments towards their homeland.
Vietnamese Consul General in Kunming, Nghiem Viet Chung, happily announced Vietnam's significant development achievements in 2025 under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam. He also highlighted the profound milestones in the Vietnam–China friendship and cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Yunnan over the past year.
Consul General Nghiem Viet Chung emphasized that the Homeland Spring 2026 is organized in a jubilant atmosphere celebrating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party.
This Party Congress is a particularly important political event, clearly defining major strategic directions and the vision for the country's development in the new phase, aiming to build Vietnam into a peaceful, independent, democratic, strong, prosperous, civilized, and happy nation.
Affirming that the overseas Vietnamese community is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation, Consul General Nghiem Viet Chung hopes that the Vietnamese community in Yunnan will continue to promote the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, and mutual support, making positive contributions to the host country and always looking towards their beloved homeland.
He stated that in the coming time, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Kunming will continue to accompany, listen to, and support the community, ensuring the office remains a common home for the Vietnamese community in Yunnan.
The Homeland Spring 2026 program in Kunming took place in a warm atmosphere, rich in Vietnamese cultural identity with special art performances and traditional dishes carrying the flavors of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.
