VITA Awards 2026: Honouring values, promoting brands and advancing Vietnam's tourism

WVR - The Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) will host the announcement and award ceremony of the VITA Awards 2026 in Ninh Binh on July 9, 2026. This event aims to honor localities, organizations, businesses, destinations, and exemplary tourism development models that have significantly contributed to the industry's growth.

The event is organized to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam's tourism sector (July 9, 1960 - July 9, 2026). It also encourages innovation, digital transformation, green tourism development, and enhances the competitiveness of Vietnam's tourism in the context of international integration.

As an annual activity of VITA, the VITA Awards recognize outstanding achievements in management, promotion, destination development, product creation, service quality enhancement, and innovation by localities, businesses, and organizations in the tourism sector. This is also an occasion to honor effective development models that contribute to building Vietnam's tourism brand in a professional, modern, green, and sustainable direction.

Implemented under the VITA Awards Plan for the 2026-2030 period, VITA Awards 2026 covers the entire tourism ecosystem, from management agencies, localities, destinations, tourism villages, travel businesses, accommodation facilities, transportation companies to products, services, digital transformation initiatives, green tourism development, and digital media.

This year's award ceremony receives attention and guidance from the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, along with the cooperation of local departments, sectors, and the tourism business community. VITA hopes that hosting the event in Ninh Binh will help promote the destination's image and affirm the locality's position as one of the country's leading tourism centers.

According to the organizers, VITA Awards 2026 will present 106 awards across 9 categories to businesses, organizations, and units from 20 provinces and cities nationwide.

The awards aim to honor management agencies, businesses, and organizations that have significantly contributed to the development of Vietnam's tourism. They encourage innovation, enhance product and service quality, promote digital transformation, and foster green and sustainable tourism. The awards also encourage models that preserve culture, protect the environment, and develop communities linked with tourism. They aim to promote the brand of destinations, businesses, and Vietnam's tourism products to domestic and international markets, contributing to building a professional standards system and enhancing the competitiveness of tourism businesses in the context of integration.

Through the VITA Awards, VITA aims to establish a prestigious, objective, and transparent award system that becomes a benchmark for quality, brand, and social responsibility of entities operating in the tourism sector.

The award ceremony is expected to be attended by leaders from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National Administration of Tourism of Vietnam, the Vietnam Tourism Association; leaders of local Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Tourism, local Tourism Associations; representatives of tourism businesses, media partners, and numerous press agencies.

With the message "Honoring Values – Spreading Brand Recognition – Connecting Development", VITA Awards 2026 is not only an occasion to recognize exemplary collectives and units but also a forum to connect, share experiences, promote innovation, and strengthen cooperation between management agencies, localities, businesses, and domestic and international partners. Through this, VITA hopes to continue spreading effective development models, promoting the image of Vietnam's tourism, and enhancing the position of Vietnam as a destination on the regional and global tourism map.

Each award presented not only acknowledges the achievements of the units but also inspires the business community and localities to continue improving service quality, building brands, and promoting the image of a safe, friendly, attractive, and culturally rich Vietnam.
