During the visit, the representatives from the ministry and the college signed an agreement in the establishment of a German language practice room at Lilama 2. It is part of the programme "Partnerships for Development-oriented Vocational Education and Labour Migration" (PAM).
LILAMA 2 Principal Nguyen Khanh Cuong said that the new facility expected to open next year will help the college to improve its Germany teaching and learning, expectedly promoting fair opportunities for students to access the labour market in Germany.
With the support of the German and Vietnamese governments, in 2015, LILAMA 2 began implementing the PAM programme. It currently trains four occupations according to German standards - metal cutting, mechatronics, industrial electronics, and construction mechanics.
Dozens of young people have graduated and gone to work in Germany.
For her part, Kofler said that the PAM programme has brought about very positive results. She hoped that the German language practice room would quickly be put into operation and Vietnamese students will be passionate about learning the German language and culture.
