Austrian Communist Party supports Vietnam's aspiration for growth: Ambassador

During the meeting, Ambassador Hoang shared the successful outcomes of the Congress, emphasizing that this significant event not only reviewed the five-year term of the 13th Party Congress (2021-2026) but also marked a historic milestone, opening a new development phase that reflects Vietnam's strong aspiration for growth.
The Congress completed all proposed content and programs, approved important documents, and elected the 14th Central Committee, which in turn elected the Politburo. Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang stated that the Congress's documents aim towards major milestones, including the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding and the 100th anniversary of the country's founding. The overarching goals are to maintain a peaceful and stable environment; achieve rapid and sustainable development; improve people's living standards; ensure strategic autonomy, resilience, and confidence; and advance strongly into a new era, striving for Vietnam to become a developed, high-income nation by 2045.

In terms of foreign relations, the Party Congress reaffirmed its commitment to an independent, self-reliant, multilateral, and diversified foreign policy, proactively and actively integrating comprehensively, deeply, and effectively into the international community. It emphasized the close combination of Party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people diplomacy, as well as police and defense diplomacy, contributing positively and responsibly to peace, stability, cooperation, and sustainable development in the region and worldwide.
Chairman of the Austrian Communist Party Günther Hopfgartner warmly congratulated the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, expressing his admiration for the comprehensive and significant achievements over 40 years of Renovation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He expressed confidence in and support for the major strategic policies and goals set by Vietnam at the Congress.
Mr. Günther Hopfgartner proposed that the two Parties enhance discussions and exchanges, particularly with the Communist Party of Vietnam sharing its experiences in party building and leadership, successfully conducting the Renewal process, and applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought in Vietnam's new context. He also agreed to collaborate in organizing activities to honor President Ho Chi Minh, a national liberation hero and world cultural figure, to a broader Austrian audience, and to strengthen youth exchanges between the two countries.
