Heads of Vietnamese diplomatic missions meet with Voice of Vietnam

The delegation of Heads of Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad for the 2025-2028 term includes 19 Ambassadors and 4 Consuls General responsible for regions in Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Europe.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed her honour as VOV General Director and Party Central Committee member Do Tien Sy introduced the nearly 80-year proud and glorious journey of VOV.

Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang acknowledged the significant contributions of VOV to the overall success of the Foreign Ministry in 2025 – a year when Vietnam hosted over 70 high-level diplomatic activities and upgraded relations with approximately 15 new partners.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that in most diplomatic activities of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there is always the active participation, support, and companionship of VOV and other key media agencies. The close coordination between the two bodies has significantly contributed to the overall success of foreign activities, while also reflecting the serious and consistent implementation of the Party’s policies and high-level leadership directives.

On behalf of the Foreign Ministry leadership, the Deputy Minister expressed the desire for continued cooperation, support, and companionship from VOV in the future, especially from its overseas resident bureaus, to enhance the effectiveness of external communication.
According to the Deputy Minister, in the new development phase with many opportunities alongside great responsibilities, both the Foreign Ministry and VOV will continue to strive and commit to fulfilling their assigned tasks, thereby deserving the trust of the Party, State, and people.

During the reception, Party Central Committee member and VOV General Director Do Tien Sy introduced the proud 80-year journey of the station. Since its first broadcast on September 7, 1945, VOV has continuously grown, becoming a modern, multi-platform multimedia agency.
Sharing about the historical significance of the unit, General Director Do Tien Sy affirmed the station's role in the new phase by contributing to "three essential and regular pillars of utmost importance to protect the Party, the country, which are security, defense, and foreign affairs".
Currently, VOV possesses all forms of journalism (radio, television, print, and online) and 13 overseas resident bureaus. In the future, VOV will enter a new development phase with more important political tasks within the Party and State system.

The heads of Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad highly appreciated VOV's role in providing timely, official information, while also contributing to promoting a dynamic, integrated, and developing image of Vietnam. In the context of rapidly changing international media environments, the representatives emphasized the importance of close coordination between the Foreign Ministry and media agencies, especially VOV, in enhancing the effectiveness of external communication.
During the exchange, many opinions suggested strengthening connections between Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad with VOV's resident reporters and external communication channels. Emphasizing the use of digital platforms, social media, and multimedia communication forms was highlighted to improve international public engagement.
The meeting took place in an open and substantive atmosphere, paving the way for new cooperation directions between the Foreign Ministry and the Voice of Vietnam. Both sides agreed to maintain regular exchanges and enhance coordination in external communication, thereby contributing to promoting Vietnam's image and fostering cooperative relations between Vietnam and countries and partners worldwide.
