Vietnamese Embassy introduces Vietnamese wine in Romania

WVR - On October 28, the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania participated in an event introducing wines from Francophone countries in the city of Brasov, organized by the Brasov Francophone Business Club. This event is part of a series of wine promotion activities taking place from October 28 to November 2.

The event featured 10 countries showcasing their distinctive wines, including Armenia, Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, Morocco, Moldova, France, Switzerland, Romania, and Vietnam.

The embassy organized a booth to display and promote Vietnamese wine products, presenting to international friends an image of a dynamic and creative Vietnam, gradually asserting its position in the production and processing of high-value-added products.

The opening session and wine tasting event on October 28 attracted the participation of local government representatives, Francophone embassies, the President of the Brasov Francophone Business Club, the President of the Brasov Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chairman of the Brasov International Airport Board, the Director of BRD - Société Générale Group Brasov; representatives from the French consumer goods distribution chain Auchan, among other local businesses.

This activity not only promotes the "Made in Vietnam" brand but also fosters cultural and economic exchanges within the Francophone space, showcasing Vietnam's proactive, positive, and deep integration into the international community.

Additionally, it provides an opportunity for Vietnamese wine products to access the Romanian and European markets, seek potential partners, and expand the export of processed agricultural products.

The embassy's participation clearly demonstrates the role of diplomatic missions in linking economic diplomacy with cultural diplomacy, contributing to mutual understanding and strengthening the friendly relations between the peoples of Vietnam and Romania.

Vietnam's booth, featuring unique cultural products and images, especially the first-time appearance of Vietnamese wine, attracted significant interest and enthusiasm from attendees.

On the sidelines of the event, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh held meetings with Brasov Deputy Mayor Dan Ghita and Brasov Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Silviu Costea, discussing potential cooperation in economic-trade, labor, tourism, culture, and education, aiming to enhance comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Romania.

The discussions provided both sides with deeper insights into each other's needs, potentials, and aspirations to promote cooperation.

Deputy Mayor Dan Ghita affirmed that the Brasov City Hall will provide maximum administrative support for Vietnamese investors exploring the market and opening representative offices in Brasov.

For his part, President Silviu Costea expressed readiness to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in organizing economic diplomacy activities and connecting businesses in Brasov in 2026 and beyond, contributing to strengthening and expanding the cooperative relationship between the two countries.

The event is part of the embassy's economic diplomacy activities, leaving a deep impression on international friends about a friendly, dynamic, and integrated Vietnam, introducing and promoting Vietnamese products in the market and opening new cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and Romania in the future.
