Vietnamese Embassy in Angola raises funds to support flood recovery efforts

WVR - On October 10, in response to the call from the the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola organized a fundraising ceremony to support compatriots in overcoming the severe consequences caused by recent typhoons and floods.

The ceremony was attended by all embassy staff, representatives from the Vietnamese community in Angola, and the Vietnamese Business Association in Angola.

In his speech, Ambassador Duong Chinh Chuc recalled the damages caused by typhoons and floods in 2025, especially typhoons No. 10 and No. 11, and the efforts of the Central Government, local authorities, particularly the military, police forces, and residents in disaster-stricken areas.

He emphasized that the spirit of mutual support and solidarity is crucial in overcoming challenges successfully.

Ambassador Duong Chinh Chuc highly appreciated each individual in the Vietnamese community in Angola, who, despite facing many difficulties, always look towards their homeland and share hardships with compatriots back home.

He also called on embassy staff, the Vietnamese community in Angola, and Vietnamese entrepreneurs and organizations in Angola to continue actively contributing and supporting.

Immediately after the ceremony, participants responded enthusiastically.

Previously, through its fanpage and direct contact, the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola had also sent out an appeal to the entire Vietnamese community in Angola.
