Prime Minister Le Minh Hung welcomed Minister Téte António's first official visit to Vietnam.
Expressing high regard for Angola's role, position, and influence in Africa, and emphasizing the historical significance of the visit to Vietnam by Angola's Leader, President of the People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) Agostinho Neto 55 years ago, the Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always values the traditional friendship, brotherhood, and close comradeship between the two parties and countries.

Pleased with the positive developments in bilateral relations recently, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed that both countries continue to enhance high-level delegation exchanges and exchanges between ministries, sectors, and localities, sharing development experiences, strengthening cooperation between the ruling parties, and closely coordinating and supporting each other at multilateral forums.
Congratulating Angola on successfully assuming the role of Chair of the African Union in 2025, the Prime Minister expressed hope that Angola will become a bridge promoting substantive cooperation between Vietnam and the African Union and expressed readiness to act as a bridge to promote cooperation between Angola and ASEAN.
Regarding bilateral economic cooperation, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed that the Angolan government continue to pay attention, support, and create favorable conditions for the National Industry and Energy Group of Vietnam (PVN) and Vietnamese enterprises to invest and conduct business in Angola.

The Prime Minister proposed that both sides coordinate to promote and soon complete negotiations and sign important documents in the trade-investment sector, such as the Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement and the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement, to lay the foundation for promoting cooperation, diversifying the structure of import and export goods, and exploring the resumption of traditional cooperation programs in education, healthcare, agriculture...
The Prime Minister also proposed that the Angolan government continue to pay attention and create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises and the Vietnamese community in Angola to live and work stably, making practical contributions to the development of both countries.

For his part, Angolan Foreign Minister Téte António expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Le Minh Hung for taking the time to receive the delegation. He highly appreciated Vietnam's impressive development achievements and emphasized his gratitude for Vietnam's valuable assistance to the Angolan people during the struggle against colonialism and for national liberation. He expressed a desire for Vietnam to continue to accompany Angola in the new development phase, promoting comprehensive cooperation in fields such as agriculture, mineral extraction, and processing...
The Angolan Foreign Minister expressed high agreement with the bilateral cooperation directions proposed by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and affirmed that the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs will closely coordinate to promote high-level visits between the two countries' leaders in the near future.
