Vietnamese Embassy in Japan joins hands to support Typhoon No. 10 victims

On October 2, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, in collaboration with the Vietnam Union in Japan and community associations, organized a fundraising launch to support domestic citizens affected by Typhoon No. 10, internationally known as Bualoi.
The launch ceremony was attended by all staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, the Community Affairs Committee, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Union in Japan, and representatives from various Vietnamese associations in Japan.
The event was held both in-person and online to enable a wide participation of overseas Vietnamese in supporting their homeland.

At the launch, Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Union in Japan, stated that in light of the severe damage caused by Typhoon No. 10 to domestic citizens, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan decided to collaborate with the Vietnam Union and various associations to organize a fundraising effort.
Vice Chairman Pham Dinh Thuong provided a quick update on the disaster's impact, highlighting that Typhoon No. 10 caused significant damage to people, property, and infrastructure in the Northern and North Central regions. Thousands of homes were destroyed, many families lost loved ones, and numerous individuals lost their assets and livelihoods, facing severe hardships.
Speaking at the launch, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu emphasized that the event aims to spread humanitarian values and call for contributions from the entire Vietnamese community in Japan to support their compatriots back home.
The Ambassador urged Vietnamese associations to widely share information with every Vietnamese in Japan, emphasizing that timely support for those affected by Typhoon No. 10 is of great spiritual value. He expressed his hope for the community's response and their heartfelt contributions to their homeland.
The Vietnam Union in Japan stated that after gathering all contributions from associations, businesses, and individuals across Japan, they will promptly send them back home to share the burden with those suffering severe losses due to the disaster.
The launch ceremony demonstrated the spirit of solidarity and sharing of Vietnamese people in Japan towards their compatriots back home, joining hands to help those in the storm-hit areas overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
