WVR - During the official visit to Thailand by General Secretary, President To Lam and his spouse, Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance—one of Thailand's leading insurance groups—signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote insurance, sports, culture, and community development activities between Vietnam, Thailand, and the region.

The Vietjet Thailand joint venture, with nearly 1,500 Thai employees, symbolizes the friendly cooperation between the two countries. The airline currently operates 22 aircraft, including 10 new-generation Boeing 737-8s, and is increasingly beloved by Thai people as a part of modern life.

The event marks an inspiring meeting between two influential female leaders in Southeast Asia: Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of Vietjet, and Nualphan Lamsam ("Madam Pang"), CEO of Muang Thai Insurance and President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT).

For over a decade, Vietjet has steadfastly supported Vietnamese football and futsal through various sponsorships, community sports development, and national team support.

In Thailand, Madam Pang is a special icon of the country's football. As the first female President in FAT's history, she has contributed to promoting youth football, women's football, and the professionalization of the Thai League with positive energy and a love for sports.

According to the cooperation agreement, both parties will explore travel insurance and non-life insurance initiatives for passengers across Vietjet Group's extensive flight network, while promoting youth football development, cultural exchanges, and the global promotion of Vietnam-Thailand's image.

With the expansion of the international flight network, Vietjet and Muang Thai Insurance aim to extend the values of aviation, football, culture, and the ASEAN community further on the international stage, contributing to elevating the image of Vietnam, Thailand, and Southeast Asia.

In the near future, Vietjet and Vikki Bank will join ASEAN United FC—a major regional football tournament—as a bridge connecting hundreds of millions of Southeast Asian fans, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations.
