According to the MoU, both parties will collaborate on various initiatives, including public outreach and community engagement programs to share information and resources regularly. These efforts aim to raise awareness about the value of standardized college admission tests like the SAT, PSAT, and AP.

Additionally, VNF and the College Board will focus on organizing training sessions for teachers, academic advisors, and education administrators nationwide. These sessions will be based on international standard programs, enabling educators and school leaders to improve the quality of teaching and administration.

As part of this collaboration, VNF will also support schools in Vietnam in becoming authorized SAT centres by the College Board. These test centres will be established in major cities and provinces, ensuring that students nationwide can access test centres conveniently, reducing travel costs and logistical challenges.

Mr. Do Ngoc Minh, co-founder of the Khan Academy Vietnam program, stated, “By forming a partnership with the College Board, The Vietnam Foundation and Khan Academy Vietnam will continue to have an important partner in supporting schools, teachers, and students across the country in SAT, PSAT, and AP preparation and testing. This partnership will also promote the establishment of more SAT centres across Vietnam, ensuring that students in any province of Vietnam have an SAT centre that is easily accessible to them, thereby reducing the pressure of travel and finding suitable test centres.”

Mr. Paul Sanders, Executive Director at College Board, said, “With the growing number of Vietnamese students taking the SAT, we are excited to collaborate with The Vietnam Foundation to ensure students have equal opportunity when discussing standardized tests like SAT and AP. We are aware very clearly that our crucial role is to raise awareness of teachers and parents about these tests and in preparing students effectively.” College Board is also committed to opening more test centres in Vietnam, ensuring students nationwide can have the support they need for these important exams.

This MOU marks an important milestone in the partnership between the two organizations and facilitates new possibilities for building and promoting advanced educational programs. These efforts will support Vietnamese students in gaining access to world-class education and confidently integrating into the global academic community.
