This important cultural event has also become a vivid testament to the traditional friendship, further deepening cooperation in culture and cinema, while contributing to the development of the Vietnam-Belarus strategic partnership.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou stated: “Cinema is a unique art form, a synthesis of literature, fine arts, theater, music, and modern technology. Cinema allows us to tell stories, convey emotions, and create new worlds through images and sound, thereby enriching and connecting the cultures of nations and peoples.

Belarus and Vietnam are no exception. Cinema, more than any other form of popular art, has the ability to convey information about our countries to a wide audience, helping us understand each other better and increasing interest in the culture, history, and traditions of each nation.”

“I believe that Belarus Film Days in Vietnam 2026 will significantly contribute to the development of Belarus-Vietnam relations in the new phase of the Strategic Partnership, becoming a highlight event and leaving a deep imprint in the chronicles of cooperation between the two countries,” said Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou.

At the opening ceremony, the audience enjoyed the premiere of the film One for Two by director Ivan Pavlov, produced in 2026.

The film is dedicated to two Belarusian heroes: pilots Andrei Nichiporchik and Nikita Kukonenko. The pilots controlled the out-of-control aircraft away from residential areas until the last moments to save the people, but they sacrificed their lives when the plane crashed into an empty field.

Within the framework of Belarus Film Days in Vietnam 2026, the public will continue to enjoy films such as The Song of Sirin by director Elena Turova; Berezinsky Biosphere by director Igor Byshnev; The Class Teacher by director Kirill Khaletsky; Turning Point by director Dmitry Soroka; The Black Castle by director Kirill Kuzin.
