Notably, within the framework of the Summer Camp, the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Association, organized the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Vietnamese Class in Belarus, a highlight in the movement to preserve the Vietnamese language in Central and Eastern Europe.

The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Nguyen Van Trung, along with numerous members of the Vietnamese community working, studying, and living in Belarus, students of the Vietnamese Class, and all staff of the Vietnamese Representative Missions in Belarus.

Established in July 2016 in Minsk, the Vietnamese Class initially started as a small class with about 20 students aged 7 to 14. Over a decade of persistent efforts, under the enthusiastic and dedicated guidance of teacher Nguyen Phuong Dung, the Vietnamese Class has become a common home for Vietnamese children in Belarus, including second and third-generation Vietnamese born and raised there.

Throughout the past decade, despite many challenges, the class has been maintained regularly every week. It is not only a place to teach the mother tongue but has truly become a cultural beacon, helping Vietnamese children confidently speak Vietnamese, thereby maintaining a cultural connection with their national roots.

In his opening remarks at the Anniversary Celebration, Ambassador Nguyen Van Trung highly appreciated the success of the Vietnamese Association in developing the Vietnamese Class over the past 10 years. He emphasized that the students of the Vietnamese Class are young "cultural ambassadors" with the mission to connect and spread Vietnamese values and culture in the friendly and close country of Belarus. The embassy always accompanies and supports these meaningful activities of the Vietnamese community.

Preserving and honouring the Vietnamese language abroad is also about protecting the roots, soul, and identity of the Vietnamese nation, in line with the major policies of the Party and State. The Ambassador particularly praised the passion and silent dedication of teacher Nguyen Phuong Dung, who has overcome numerous difficulties to keep the flame of patriotism and love for the mother tongue – Vietnamese – alive in the hearts of the younger generations.

On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyen Van Trung officially launched the movement to Honour the Vietnamese Language, introducing and promoting the national culture, identity, and values of the Vietnamese people.

Expressing her emotions over the attention from the Embassy, teacher Nguyen Phuong Dung affirmed that the maturity, confidence in speaking the mother tongue, and love for the homeland of the students are the greatest rewards and motivation for her over the past 10 years.

Especially, the memorable visit from the spouse of General Secretary To Lam, Madam Ngo Phuong Ly, in 2025, along with the precious gift of a Vietnamese bookcase, has encouraged the teacher and parents to continue dedicating themselves to the development of the class, ensuring it remains a solid cultural foundation for the children in Belarus.

On behalf of the Community, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association, Mr. Truong Cong Dao, expressed gratitude to the Party, State leaders, and the embassy for their continuous support and care for the community's activities, truly making it a united home in Belarus.

The highlight of the ceremony was a special cultural program organized by the teacher, students, and parents. The homeland melodies through performances such as the choir "Con chim vanh khuyen" (Oriental White-eye bird), Vietnamese poetry reading, or the dance "Em la mam non cua Dang" (I am a young sprout of the Party).brought a warm and emotional atmosphere. On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyen Van Trung inaugurated the Vietnamese Language Summer Camp 2026.
