The week is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, attracting over 500 delegates along with a large number of residents and tourists from both inside and outside the region.
Not just an exhibition and trade promotion activity, the event is expected to contribute to boosting domestic market purchasing power, with a target of achieving over 18% retail sales growth by 2025.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, stated that the city aims not only to connect domestic consumption but also to expand Vietnamese products onto e-commerce platforms and online sales channels, gradually boosting exports.
This is also an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to exchange experiences, enhance quality, and build sustainable brands.
The Vice Chairman also urged localities and related units to prioritise improving product quality, with the goal of shifting perceptions from production to distribution, proactively enhancing the responsibility of entities in the supply chain, opening up development opportunities for "Responsible Green Tick" products, and preventing low-quality products from reaching consumers.

According to the organisers, the event space spans the Bai Sau area, featuring 50 booth clusters designed to reflect regional identities, showcasing the cultures of 24 provinces and cities from the Northwest to the Mekong Delta.
Each booth not only introduces products but also tells the story of the land, people, and local labour excellence.
The week showcases over 3,000 types of goods, with nearly 2,000 products certified as OCOP from 3 to 5 stars.
Many products carry the "Responsible Green Tick", guaranteeing quality, transparent origins, and sustainable development orientation. This is also an important supply source for the upcoming Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 market.
Besides direct shopping, the program also enhances digital connections through 10 livestream stations that operate continuously from morning to night, bringing regional specialities to e-commerce platforms like TikTok Shop, Shopee, and Lazada.
Simultaneously, B2B trade connection sessions are organised, creating opportunities for domestic manufacturers to access major supermarket systems and distributors, expanding stable market outlets.

Sharing at the event, Ms. Phan Bao Thy, media representative of Kingfoodmart supermarket system, stated that in response to the "Responsible Green Tick Month" program initiated by the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City, the unit has implemented it across the entire system from December 1 to 31, while tightening the input quality control process.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, this is the largest-scale organisation to date, with the participation of 24 out of 34 provinces and cities.
The focus of the week is on concentrated B2B connection activities, with 20 working clusters dedicated to meetings, negotiations, and agreements between suppliers and 14 major distribution systems such as Co.opmart/Co.opXtra, SatraMart, AEON, MM Mega Market, Central Retail…
Running until December 21, the OCOP Product Week and Supply-Demand Connection is expected to become an attractive shopping and regional cultural experience destination for residents and tourists, while also contributing to stabilising supply and market prices at the end of the year.
