Number of newly-established enterprises up 20.6% in Jan.

As many as 10,839 newly-established enterprises were recorded in January, with the total registered capital of VND98,300 billion, increases of 20.6% in the number and 8.9% in capital against the same period in 2017.

An additional capital of VND218,000 billion from businesses were made, raising the total registered and additional capital to the economy to VND316,000 billion in January.

A total number of 4,587 enterprises re-operated, down 17%, bringing the total number of new and re-operated enterprises to 15,000 ones in the month. 

The newly-established enterprises created jobs for 85,000 ones, equal to 82% of the same period in 2017.

The General Statistics Office shows that the newly-established enterprises mainly focus on retails sales with 3,800 ones, up 24%, construction 1,400 ones, up 21%, and manufacturing and processing 1,300 ones, up 6%, employment, tourism and other supporting sector 643 ones, up 42%, accommodation and catering services 608 ones, up 34%, real estate 461 ones, up 47% and education and training 283 ones, up 48%.
