Nestlé opens US$ 110 million factory in Hung Yen

 The Nestlé Vietnam Group has inaugurated a new MILO producing factory with a total investment of VND 1,600 billion (US$ 110 million) at Thang Long II Industrial Park in the northern province of Hung Yen on May 18.

Wan Ling Martello, a Nestlé SA executive vice president reaffirmed the commitment of Nestlé Group in Viet Nam in favor of nutrition development, one of key pillars in the group’s development strategy. The group also vowed to improve life quality and contribute to a healthier future in Viet Nam.

The factory will create more than 200 new jobs and many indirect jobs for locals while enabling the firm to develop new innovations and nutritional beverages for Vietnamese consumers.

Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Quang stressed that the province would spare no effort to support foreign investors to do effective business here.

As of late 2016, the province was home to 360 FDI projects with a total register capital of US$ 3.49 billion and 1,097 domestic projects worth over US$ 4 billion.  

Nestlé is the world's largest food company, employing more than 328,000 employees worldwide.

In Viet Nam, it operates six factories with more than 2,000 employees nationwide and total investment of US$ 520 million./.
