MTA VIETNAM is an international precision engineering, machine tools, and metalworking exhibition, which was held for the first time in 2005. Since then, it has long been an attractive destination for hundreds of corporations in field of manufacturing industry.

Since 2005, the forum has consistently grown in size and status and is now regarded as the premier technology marketplace and networking platform for the ever-evolving Vietnamese manufacturing sector. It is now the place where industry players congregate to experience new technologies, forge new business partnerships, and network with the industry at large.

Encompassing a total of 12,000 square meters of exhibition space, the 15th edition features a multinational selection of state-of-the-art technologies, equipment, and solutions for all stages of the manufacturing value chain, housing 425 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions.

The exhibition presents an ideal gateway for international suppliers looking to expand into the bourgeoning Vietnamese industrial market, as indicated by an overwhelming percentage of overseas exhibitors (roughly 77 per cent), the most notable of whom include Amada, Bystronic, Blum, DMG Mori, and Han's Laser.

Aside from the impressive presence of established international brands, the event also welcomes a strong line-up of locally-based manufacturers and vendors, such as Creatz3D, Cybertech, Daviteq, Weldtec, to name but a few. Home-grown companies can leverage this opportune showcase to reach overseas exhibitors directly, broaden business contacts, and map the future of smart manufacturing.

This year, the group pavilions are from major economic and industrial powerhouses, such as Germany, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand, who are showcasing their technological capabilities designed to meet virtually every need in the manufacturing process. Among them, there is strong spread of top-notch Japanese technologies from 29 companies specializing in metal cutting, metal forming, metrology, cutting tools, and tooling systems.

Adding to the excitement, a string of educational seminars and workshops are staged concurrently, providing industry players with in-depth knowledge, market insights, and the latest intelligence on the evolving manufacturing industry landscape.

The seminar sessions hosted by Lean Six Sigma Network and Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MES LAB) are expected to gather many industry experts and professionals under one roof to impart technological updates as well as discuss pertinent issues and challenges emerging in the new era of manufacturing intelligence and Industry 4.0.

Taiwan Trade Centre Inc. (Taitra) is conducting a technical seminar titled “Taiwan Machine Tools Industry—Shaping the World.” The seminar is geared to spotlight the latest techniques and capabilities of the Taiwanese manufacturing sector, presenting an opportunity for local enterprises to convene and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals and influential leaders from Taiwan. Taiwanese technology suppliers are now also expanding to provide complete factory system integration solutions to the Vietnamese industrial market.

The strong convergence of market leading brands and major industry players at the expo is a firm reflection of the show’s stature in the industry, as well as its ability to provide a unique platform for buyers and suppliers to meet, share technological know-how, and drive industry development.

This year, MTA Vietnam expects to attract more than 10,000 trade visitors from across Vietnam and the region.
